connecting failed

i am getting this error even i have updated and installed the latest patch for arma 2 oa and the latest dayz patch

connecting failed to every lan server why?

I don't know about LAN servers, but I had this problem on some online server as well.. Try restarting your game, if that doesn't work you can try opening up one game and pressing multiplayer -> then opening another game and connect to the actual server on that one.. Know it sounds weird, but that's what I do and it works

to be honest not that i am insulting you but i didnt understand what you are saying with this

None taken. It should be pretty straight forward, but i'll dumb it down:

1 - Open DayZ -> Press multiplayer -> Alt-Tab back to your desktop. (Don't close this yet)
2 - Open A NEW DayZ -> Press multiplayer -> Connect to your desired server.
3 - Once connected, feel free to close the first DayZ process to avoid unnecessary lag or w/e
