What you can do, are the things above, the things that will help reduce your lag. i.e: Closing programs you do not need through "msconfig", and running a virus scan, etc.
MSCONFIG INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In search bar or run, type "msconfig", then press "Enter".
2. Go to services, and uncheck all stuff that are unnecessary to you, like for instance, Tool bars.
3. Go to start up tab, and uncheck all stuff that are not required. For instance, iTunes, your AV, etc.
OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO:
- Defrag your computer. (This will take up to 5 hours, ONLY RUN when your computer is under a serious lag issue.)
-Run a full virus scan. (Will take long, be patient)
-Check for windows update.
-Go to control panel and uninstall all unnecessary programs, like for instance, tool bars, and other programs you do not use.

for better ping: dont run background programs
dont let other devices except ur pc conne t to the wifi
go sit closer to ur wifi modum when uve got a laptop.
