MCPatcher

After the patch of 1.3.1, I installed MCPatcher. From that moment, I got this error:

So I did what it told me to do, and after installing the brand new .jar file and deleting META-INF folder, I ran it again, but it still gave me that same error. It's still happening today, and I think that's reason why some mods that are compatible with OTHER mods are not working. I tried putting them manually in .jar file myself, but it still didn't work, but the mods are compatible with each other....

Doesn't MCPatcher delete META-INF for you?

Umm...

Delete your bin folder, and force update. Then, try MCPatcher (make sure it's updated to 1.3.1, I'm sure the developer already has it updated). It shouldn't give you any errors.

I tried that, forgot to include that info in my thread.
It didn't work.

The patcher looks for a META-INF folder to see if the jar is modified. That is your problem.

Oh lol wow I let MCPatcher delete it for me and it just worked. I should have thought more logically.

EDIT: OH actually @Polo DON'T CLOSE YET. I have another problem.

I have some mods installed, and I want to install some other mods as well, so I used MCPatcher to do so. It didn't say it conflicted with anything, so it should work fine with other mods right?
It doesn't. MC crashes every time.
I tried to put it manually by putting them all in .jar file but same results. But they're all compatible with each other...

I'm trying to add Elemental Arrows mod 1.3.1 but it's conflicting. Also with CaveGen mod 1.3.1.

Sometimes the Java classes that one modification changes cannot be changed again, which is what installing another modification sometimes does. Therefore, you can't install the modification unless you fuse the classes, instead of replacing. That would cause another problem, so I suggest you don't try it.
