5 plugins to a starting server.

Well first off, I'd like to thank MPGH for all the help so I thought why not make a thread helping others. Well here goes.


xAuth- if you are running a CRACKED server, meaning both premium and cracked players can play then xAuth is highly recommended if you do not want anyone breaking into an account. Essentially, what this plugin does is it makes a new player '/register [password]' meaning they will have to '/login [password]' everytime they join your server. So if anyone does break into the account it will make them 'log in'. Not knowing the password, the hacker cannot hack the account. xAuth also has MySQL support.


Essentials- Okay, most of you guys know what Essentials is but if you don't Essentials is a plugin which adds many useful commands such as /spawn, /sethome, /tpa, etc. Essentials also adds GroupManager, which is a very popular plugin. Sadly, Essentials has a plugin problem if you are using 'bColoredChat'


Lockette/LWC- These plugins, either one, is very simple and easy to use. Lockette requires you to place a sign on a chest and your chest in now automatically protected. LWC on the other hand, doesn't need a sign or anything just plop down the chest and your chest is automatically protected.


NoCheat/NoCheatPlus- NoCheat and NoCheatPlus stops people from flying, timer,sprint hacks, etc. It's a very essentials plugin to stop hackers and is used alot. Not much to say.


UltraBans- Now, some of you might not know this plugin, but it is very useful to a server. It is like any other ban plugin but, you can add BLOCKED words such: as F*ck, B*tch, etc. UltraBans is also very lightweight and can help reduce hackers. Many things can be edited in the config in whatever way you want it to be so out of all these plugins, I'd say UltraBans is the 2nd most needed. UltraBans also has the Vault support.

hey how do i set up the first one for the password thing

i just downloaded it from bukkitplugins

ok i put jar file in plugin folder and made it trrue inproperties but it doesnt seem to pop up when i join my server as a localhost

dont forget BukkitForge(BukkitForge [Jenkins]) it works with mindcrack serverver and tekkitlite server and DNS techpack too.
put in coremods folder and run server and its done (installed).

You should add AntiCheat to the list, I have less problems with AntiCheat then with Nocheat or NCP
