Crossfire file changed \crossfire.exe? Can't install crossfire...

Ok so i havent played crossfire in a long while, mainly bc my laptop was poo. but i just got a new laptop that can run it amazingly well, and basically i tried to install crossfire. Firstly, the crossfire downloader is shit, because it never downloads crossfire. It either freezes and closes or just stays frozen. So i tried finding the CF v1102.exe setup file on google, and found one on atomic gamer. I downloaded it, installed it, worked like a charm. the problem is after i got on CF and played one game, the second game i go into closes and i get the little "File is changed \crossfire.exe " popup. Then when i try to open it back up, i can't get into any matches. So i thought maybe it was a corrupted download, so i reinstalled, ran as admin, compatability mode, yada yada yada. So can anyone give me the setup file (Crossfire_SEtup_v1102.exe) that they used that isnt corrupted or anything? also i turned off firewall and ANTIvirus when i was downloading and installing.

Could it be put in a rar file and then on a host sharing site like media fire

Ok so i was able to install it and run it and i played like 5 games before i got the error. now i have the "file is changed w [2007] [2] crossfire.exe" error

I can't download it from z8, the crossfire downloader they provide to download crashes every time i run it.

Haha believe me I've tried that many times. I will try what mpgHero said. but on version.ini it says i have version 1102..so i will see how it goes.

Nope, didn't work, I couldnt even get into a single game. It has to be in the setup or something..

oh btw the popup screen is a HGWC popup. so its something wrong with that maybe?

duder its too easy really its like bug trap just download this http://www.mpgh.net/forum/243-crossf...le-please.html and put in an archive by rar program and then put thet rar archive in crossfire folder and every time you play the game you must right click the archive and press "extract here" and then select yes to all in the first line , replay and thank me if i helped u

doesnt work man :/ i tried that already, i also found an xtrap folder on mpgh for the problem, that didnt work either..it worked for like 5 games. its a hgwc bug.

how do i do that?

Ok so i attached some files, one of them is an xtrap error i get. i have only gotten it twice so far. the other ones is what happens after the error, and in the program files, the crossfire.exe changes to some weird file.
