Naruto Tournament - Round One (Tobi vs Jiraiya)

Today bout will between Tobi vs Jiraiya

- We discuss the pros and cons of each character.
Chakra / Techniques / Intelligence
- We will include past victories into account.
- We will include who they lost to.
- We will include ability to work alone.
- We will include the ability to work in a team.
- We will not include personality

With all the information we are to run a simulation of the fight (within our minds and thread)

The Vote will be done one a different thread with the other bouts going on in the first round.

Tobi has the kamui and rinnegan, he could easily avoid Jiraiya's attacks and can defeat him easily. BUT if Jiraiya goes in toad moad =D It would be a 52% chance of Tobi winning.

l2spell Jiraiya.

Pervy sage, simply because of the abilities listed.

Tobi isn't strong anyway.

Actually seeing this fight come down to a long drawn out fight. As of now, I see Tobi as a one trick pony. He can phaze in and out as he pleases.

Maybe it would come down to a giant wait out battle, and since Jiraiya can't stay in Sage mode forever, Id give the victory to Tobi.
IMO

Remember, Tobi has all the abilities pain had, and Pain only ALMOST got defeated because he underestimated Jiraiya's ability to do genjutsu. (Which he didn't even do, the toads did.) Tobi can also become intangible AND use the other Rinnegan abilities as well

It would probably be a close fight, but Tobi would probably win IMO.

(I think Jiraiya is a MUCH better character though.)

From what I've seen so far, Tobi would probably win. His rennigan would be the only way Tobi could proabably beat him

Maybe Jiraya could duplicate that effect?

So far tobi has no real higher-level techniques for offense that itachi/midar/sasuke posses, all he has is the portal and phase.

While this is a problem, giving him the win for "theory" is kind of lame. Its like saying aizen could never lose in bleach because of his power. If you gave tobi the win just because he can phase, you might as well give him the win for every fight.

It seems to me that Tobi could keep phazing for allot longer than Jirayha cant stay SageMode.

So its a dead even heat. Due to time constraints Tobi would have edge.
