I'm getting old D: ...

FIRST OFF, IN TOTALLY IRRELAVANT NEWS:
I'm one of the lead programmers at my university for a student-club project being done at our schewl. We're making a 3D printer and sending it in for a competition at IEEE. Its pre fuckin cewl. I'm programming an ATMEGA 8bit MCU.

Okay, so it just hit me today:

I am 19 years old (well 20 in 6 months...) and I've never:

A) Had a job
B) Had a girlfriend or sex
C) Gone to a party

Is that abnormal in this day and age? I mean, I am in university full-time, and most students who graduate my age go straight to university and just have their parents pay their way through (or if you're like me, you loan money from the bank.) I'm starting to feel as if I am falling behind in life, lol.

I can't really get a job with full-time school either. I mean, I literally get home at 7PM and wake up at 6AM every day. I'd only ever be able to work weekends, and ofc that is when I usually do all my studying.

That aside, I've come really close to having a girlfriend two times before :S. I am in an engineering program so everyone there is a guy. I feel pretty fucking hopeless right now.

Well, gone to a party is quite off, I wouldnt think those others are too weird, although it is normal in Holland to have a job (like work in a supermarket) at the age of 16

I never had a job , I had girlfriends but I never wanted sex , and yes I went to a lot of parties .

It's quite normal. I know a few people like that because they are too focused or busy. Parties aren't always fun, girlfriends are usually a hassle (sex varies), and job doesn't really matter as long as you are using your time effectively in the hopes to get a good job in the future.

You're only 19 Jeremy. You've still got time to spread your wings.

i'm 19 too, got a job got a gf... Trick is to enjoy the journey to your goals and let your hair down, you'll feel constant emptyness going from work/uni achievement to achievement.
