It's just another generic moba but with the whole third person wasd controls. Kinda cool idea, okay execution but absolute fail when it comes to balancing/progression/monetization. You're practically forced to pay for gods/heroes and it's pretty evident that some simply have no real counter or their counter is poor. Either way you'll run into way too much pubstomping due to the generic default heroes being pretty bad and the good ones, usually paid for with cash, will simply rip through them.

Not necessarily; That only happens for the first couple of levels (and I haven't seen anyone who's actually bought shit with money) because you don't get a new god until level 5 or 6.
However, I do agree with you on balancing. They can't balance worth shit.

Dota 2 is trying to avoid Pay to Win kind of action.

With the first win bonuses & current base favour rates (yes, gg HR on using your shitty leveling methods again) you literally cannot get gods at a decent rate. I have no clue what you've been smoking but the rates are shit, the prices high and even after you leave the bronzie/newbie servers you will see shittons of pay-to-win gods smashing the default & cheaper ones.

The rates are fucking terrible, I agree. I thought you were saying that you saw tons of people with better gods than you because they paid dosh.
I played early beta (during summer), and nobody ever bought champions, so I guess things changed.
