(Important) Getting rid of your keylogger if you downloaded maximo's hack!

The files have been save into this directory "C:\WINDOWS\system32\conf" they are hidden though...here is what you have to do so you are able to see and delete them.

1. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\conf (conf is a hidden folder)

2. Go to tools - folder options - view

3. uncheck "hide unprotected operating system files" (under hidden files and folder click "show hidden files and folders" if you want to see what has been logged, there should be a file that you can open with notepad.

4. Keylogger files should be shown and you should be able to delete them ^^

Edit: The file is called WinHelper.exe.exe

i searched for that file last night but I can't find it.
Norton said it deleted it but every 5 mins it says it again. then again. then again.
do I have to restart to get rid of it completly?

It keeps coming back everytime i delete it... but my firewall stopped it from getting to send anything or in the system startup. does anyone know how to stop it from coming back?

Or since most keyloggers are autostart programs u can go into windows defender and in there disable that programs autostart.

Okay I've been trying to get rid of this keylogger for about 4 hours (Straight)
Yes, this is a very serious security breach. If you have downloaded Maximo's hack you do have a keylogger.
At first i was so fucking afraid. I think it just gave me a pop up message and it said. gjhjgjjjhjhjgjhjgj. Anyway, yeah i went into regedit and deleted it still it comes back. I have a security task manager and i delete/quaranteen it and it just comes back. I think the best bet is to system restore. If you didnt have it enabled I guess I'm really sorry I cannot help you. This virus is way beyond my level. Just when you do System Restore make sure you go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\conf and delete everything in there, then, delete the folder itself. I still have this keylogger on my comp, cuz i didnt sys. restore yet. I'm about to though.

If you don't trust me go ahead, have a keylogger and get all your info stolen. I'm just trying to help ppl who have this shit.

PS, if you still dont believe me go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\conf and make sure you have your hidden folders all enabled so you can see what inside this folder. Go to logs.dat, right click it and click edit it will show everything you opened what sites you went on if you pressed the right left up or down button EVERYTHING. DELETE TEH FILE AND IT WILL COME BACK AS A BLANK FILE, then press like idk the right key. And it will have tracked your imput. As I typed this thread I delete it a every couple of sentences cuz it can see what I am typing, and as you can see i have typed a lot.

Search for hidden services, rootkis, hidden registries and SCT hooks using tools like WhiteSword == win. Or just get a decent AV.

I didn't tell anyone to delete everything in win32, and it is not useless. Virus's usually go for the "system32" folder because they know noobs don't want to touch anything in there. I just stated what I did and to anyone who downloaded maximo's thing system restore should fix it, just make sure you restored to before the download.

People thanks for the guide i did download that keylogger crap and i did find where it is located using ur guide but i cant delete it permenantly everytime i send it to recycling bin and then destroy it from tehre it comes back and my avira anti virus keeps poping out that its a suspicious file and all and i dunno what to do please help me destroy it.

there is 3 files in that folder plugin.dat, logs.dat, and WinHelper.exe.exe. so the logs where everything you type is in. the plugin is helping keep the WinHelper running. but there has to be one more file that keeps opening winhelper and thats what we need because that reinstalls winhelper.

Camo i have that shit and im so stupid for downloadng it but i really need help if my parents find out about this virus im dead and worse if the computer crashes... i need help from all of u guys that understand in this b.c i dont... im just a 14 yr old nerd whos trying to hack games for fun... ok in any case this program records even what i write right now so please help ASAP!!! if windows reinstallation is needed if theres no other option please let me know!
