❓ DayZ question.

trying to pick up Arma II / Operation Arrowhead for a friend who's been dying to play it.
however, I currently don't have $30 to purchase the pack. to my knowledge, you can get
Arma II (free version), and there's purchase-able keys for Operation Arrowhead, so my question
is, if my friend downloaded the free Arma II, and I bought him a OA key (from a key seller) would he be able to play DayZ?

I'm not to how you would go about this, or if its even possible. thanks in advance.

Yes, it'll work but don't buy Arma 2 now, because the DayZ Standalone will be released soon and it will be cheap (15$-20$)

In short buy the OA key, and get a copy of the Combined Operations GOG.com installer.
