Item hacking and ROTMG.

Do you think it'll ever be possible to item hack again? I'm not for ruining the game, or anything, but I'm just wondering. I was messing with cheat engine and thought I was a genius and tried to change item ids and equip them. That obviously didn't work. Also, will there be a point in this game where EVERYTHING is patched?

In a perfect world, yes, everything will be patched; but in reality, especially with new content on new builds, there will always be a few exploits/bugs that go through under the radar.

Yea, there will probably be another way eventually.
But because of how it blew up and was publicly exploited this time Kabam will take a ton more effrot into stopping it.

My bet is that if it ever does become possible, then only a small handful of people will ever work it out before it gets patched again

What made the exploit so noticeable was the fact that everyone could see when you purchased an item. If a new exploit was found without the text that hovered above your head, then it would take somewhat longer to notice. In fact, it wouldn't blow up nearly as much because most people wouldn't know you were spawning items in the first place.

I have the feeling a new exploit will rise, maybe even an easier duping method. But those will both take a while.

it just has to stay underground. nobody should brag about it, nobody should use it in public, and nobody should mention it exists.
keep it private and enjoy as long as you can. the more quiet you are, the more you're able to hear!

Thats why i noclipped (with the old cube hack) only when i was alone in Sprite world.

This game is played by a lot of kids. Most of them dont care about staying underground when they hack.
They even make videos on youtube -__-

Some are clever, they only give their hacking tips to friends, they wanted to keep it secret
..But their friends dont care .....

If a new hacking method comes, and if this new method is based on cheat engine > the hack will spread.

I know we are here to share hacks, and i like sharing, but this item hack has gone too far.

When I spawned items, I went into a realm with a mule and went to an area where absolutely nobody was. I dropped whatever items I spawned on the mule and picked them up on my main. I tried to be as careful as possible, unlike the people in the nexus that were blatantly spawning life pots.

I believe duping was known by many people before it went public... and that people probably dupe zillions of items/pots and sold them before it went public.
same for hack item, you could hack items INSIDE YOUR VAULT, unknown from everyone !
