DoSing myself?

Is it illegal to DoS myself/my internet connection?
(to lag my connection up)
ex:
My router's IP is ha.ha.ha.ha
If i DoS ha.ha.ha.ha (this is my internet connection) is it illegal?

I'm not sure on Sth Koreas interweb laws, but I don't think it is. But why would you want to do that? Are testing some sort of honeypot system or what?

I live in the U.S atm, and I'm kind of interested in security/programming, so I'd like to try this out. (Also have other reasons, but that's probably the main one)

DDOS is still considered as cyber crime but if u want DDOS urself I guess it's alright.

He's not DDoSing himself, he's DoSing himself, there is a HUGE difference.

No, OP, it is not illegal. The data packets you send out are never circulating in the open network, it's running right from your computer, down your ethernet cable or wifi to your LAN connection on your router and crashing that, you won't learn shit.

In that case it isnt considered a cyber crime. It will be known as stressing your network connection. (most modern day DDOS...ers? are called network stressers to avoid any legal issues when selling them) Good luck with it anyways lmao.
