Crossfire "Send Error Report" problem
Hi All,

I used to play crossfire quite alot, and yeah in the past i used hacks, hence having an account on here and now i keep getting a "send error report" popup.

I have recently downloaded and installed a fresh version of the game on my new computer, it has a fairly high spec so i'm guessing the game isn't just crashing at the same point as it can't handle loading it (It has 12gb Ram, a GeForce GTX 560 and a new i5 processor running with win 7 ultimate x64)

I have found a mass of people having similar problems, as i'm guessing its a fairly generic pop up when any error occurs in the game, but none which are quite the same as mine.

Basically what is happening everything loads up fine, i can log in, i can select the different servers etc and go in the lobby, mess around in the settings all i like, as soon as i click on the 'join game' button though i get the loading screen, it fully loads and the screen goes black then the client closes and i get the error. This isn't just a one off either it happens on every map, in every game mode (that i have tried) with no exceptions. I have tried complete fresh installs, restarting, enabling game mode on antivirus/firewall, disabling firewall, running in xp sp2,3 win 7 compatibility and all the permissions of the exe files are set to run as admin, i have even tried clearing out all the temp folders to no avail, with a couple of different accounts as well. Basically i'm absolutely stumped... any ideas guys?

Cheers

what you gotto do is as you probably know that windows update sometimes fails at some installations which i found that lastnight so right click on cf - properties. Compatibility : Click Run This Program Compatibility Mode for : then choose Windows Server 2008 ( Service Pack 1 ) : Click Apply

Click on Change Settings for all users tab : do the same thing as what've done up there ^^

This for Windows 7 Error
Thanks for getting back to me, unfortunately this fix hasn't worked for me, i thought i'd try all of the different available compatibility options to see if any worked and after a lot of loading and changing i have found it it not a compatibility problem, i've added in an explicit rule in my firewall allowing all connections from crossfire just in case it was still blocking something when turned off. I have resorted to contacting the support team, it's been a few days and still haven't had a reply from them but they probably don't work over the weekends. I'll let you guys know what the problem was if they come back with a response.

If anyone has any ideas of any possible fixes then i'm willing to try pretty much anything aha.

Cheers!

Well... Yea... that used to happen to me, I got really pissed... lol

I just kinda waited it out... Its gotta be something with the servers and they probably fix it without notice because i had it for like 3 days and it stopped happening.

Wait a few days before you uninstall and flip your table.
contact support they will help you
Reboot your PC - re-install crossfire - use CCleaner - delete Documents\Cross Fire\SaveIdData.dat & System.dat
We gave all the possible fixes , just do what biesi said and if it doesn't work , Wait for Z8 reply.
Or simply format your PC .

Hey man i found the problem permanently this time my previous solution tutorial didn't work
what you got to do is format your pc get all the updates from microsoft also make sure you get full netframework updates as well plus don't install microsoft security essentials it just deletes some files during installation no matter even if its on or off just don't use it
pm if you want i'll help ya
