How to fake your name without memory hacking =)

Since memory hacking is detected, you shouldn't do it.

Start BO2 multiplayer.
Find a match to join.
When in game press [SHIFT] + [TAB] to bring up the Steam overlay.
Click on the view all friends button.
Click on the arrow on top of the list.
Go to change name.
Change it to whatever you want.
Now press [ESC] to hide the overlay.
Now your name in-game is different than your steam name.

This was a stupid tutorial

And what is the point of this, exactly?

so every new match that starts you must change it again ?

This is mostly like just fake

Because, Name Faker don't store the name in the: Recent Names (On your Profile

You can do what the heck you want with your name using CE and whatnot... its not detected.

Name Faking only changes Data.. they can't detected memory data writing... Therefore, Undetected. Do a little research before saying things

He is banned because unlike you he was trying to write his own code and got caught, something you know nothing .... now go sit in your corner until someone releases some code snippits you can compile and act like you know what you are doing/talking about

It's not only detectable, but easily detectable. Whether it is currently detected, now that's another matter.

These people, can't go on like this.
There are some actions required to these users.

I have done what I can do.
Now it's up to you guys.

Well, there are some values that are to trigger a ban.
This was in MW2. (I used some server tool to change some DVARs)

And guess what... I got banned, and there was only me in the match. (Horrible net :P)
So, that would mean, some stuff about memory editing can cause a ban.

There have also been people telling they got banned for just playing with CE.
So, not sure :S
