You could just take old codes and call the APIs dynamically. Then randomize some function names and BOOM, unpatched. Google is your best friend

Same codes just different way of them being used. Start with old source and learn to be a VB expert. Then move on to C++. It will be easier if you have a little knowlege of coding already. Thats what I did.
