How to remove Optifine Component from Tekkit?

I tried using Optifine just for regular Minecraft to increase my frames. Didn't work. Just brought them down significantly. I ended up just updating my gfx card drivers and started using the SimpleCraft texture pack (I now have over 100fps). I've heard a lot of other people saying that they've had problems with Optifine decreasing FPS. I tried using tekkit but I have really really low frames and it's because of Optifine. I went into appdata and deleted the Optifine components but my game just crashes when I do that. Anyone know how to delete Optifine from Tekkit?

I think you're just not using the settings correctly, set your fog on, turn your view distance down turn clouds off, turn particles minimal, etc.

Nope. I pretty much turned off all animation and set everything to minimal. I looked around on the Minecraft forums and people have the same exact problem as me...And no one can seem to fix it.

errr not sure, even my computer doesn't seem to be affected and I'm running a 32 bit win xp 2 gb of ran with 50 gb of freespace.

I don't think it's possible unless you decompiled the code (the .jar of the tekkit) and removed the optifine code from it. Optifine is conducted from the jar itself, not the component files.

You can always try resetting your video settings. My buddy had the same problem as you, but instantly fixed it when he reset his video settings.
