Ghost Breath?

Is it really possible to hear ghost breath in crossfire? For what i know, hackers use it as an excuse, but is it real or is it just and popular excuse?
ps. if there is a way to hear ghost breath, what can i do to increase the volume of ghost breath or decrease other volumes?

Yes. i can hear their breathe but my Headset not so good

yes u can hear ghost breath its called pinpointing , but if u r good at it u'll be kicked most of the games that u play mostly at round 12 , here is a good tut btw

U actually prove a point, I am a nub. And u know what else? If "pro players" are saying that they can hear ghost breath, then it's obviously they are hacking, but if they say they know how to pinpoint, that's a different story.

So I watch that video with my headphones on ( its the apples new earphone, it works great!)
So the problem I'm noticing is that I can hear ghost breath clearly when I turn the volume on really loud, but the other sounds is killing my ear. ( exp: gun, grenade, mission complete thingie) is there a way to solve that problem or I just have to deal with it and get my ear deaf?
Ps. Some dude from another thread post this question, is ghost breath music or sound effect, can someone answer that question for me? If it is music, everything should be a lot easier.

once again. welcome to the club. when you see pro players say 'STOP SPRAYING I CANT HEAR SHIT" thats what it is.
you could try a trick.
when you start hearing a ghost breath press enter, type in "/s 0" and you will hear nothing else but ghost.
to change it back to normal just type in "/s 100"
it helps a little... but you have to do it over and over again for each ghost.

that is not true.. when I first started back in 09 my first mode I played was ghost mode. when I learned this back in 09 my clan members actually called it breathing, but as I played more and more people started saying pinpointing. in the end they are the same thing, so please don't kick that one guy dropping a 30 bomb and you think he cheats because he says breathing
