Why doesn't anyone believe me when I tell them that none of that shit ever happened? Just because a movie says based on a true story or true events does not make it true. I'm pretty sure it was loosely based off of Buffalo Bill.

Buffalo Bill is another basis of Ed Gein.

Movies are movies.

It, along with I think Kruger, and Hannibal were all based off of Ed Gein.

And keep in mind people, Based on a true story. It means it got a beginning off of a true story, but creates its own out of it. The word you are looking for is called documentary.

Considering you were the one complaining about a movie saying its based off of a true story, you seem to be confusing that phrase with documentary. Documentary = true to life events. Based on a true story = part of the story was inspired by real events, but does not follow the literal chain of events that happened.

I'm not a "fan". I thought the 2003 version was decent. And I did know that...Just mixed it up considering there are so many personas based on him.

Also another thing. How in the hell would TCM be based off of Buffalo Bill? There are no similarities at all.
