    Lightbulb 3 Questions ...

    Hey guys
    Recently thought of building my own gaming PC, since my laptop is like ... crap ...
    And now I'm stuck with 3 questions

    1. GTX 660ti vs 670 ? (price vs quality n stuff)
    2. Does anyone know a good and cheap site for european users ? I know newegg is recommended, but the shipping fees from the USA to Belgium, let's just not talk about it, that's why I need a good and cheap EU site to buy parts at (I'm a noob at this stuff)
    3. Kindof a tricky one ... If I get my harddrive from my laptop, will it be useable as my main harddrive in a desktop ? (This saves me like 200€ on a harddrive and a Windows License )
    Thanks in advance

    #1 With GTX 660 Ti/670 you will be able to max all games of today and most games of next few years. If you can afford GTX 670, it will last you longer due to wider GPU bus width. Thing is, when buying a graphics card you should always try to get the best one you can, because it will mean you'll have better performance longer and it will delay the time you have to upgrade again. Although i've seen many people recommend either getting a 660ti OC'ed, most overclocks allow it to reach roughly the 670's performance or get the 660ti then in the future get another and run in SLI. Final decision is yours.

    #2 I often use overclockers.co.uk (Not sure if will ship to Belgium probs will) But, if not i just use Amazon and eBay to be honest. I've got amazon prime so thats a plus as well as i can often find multiple sellers for one product if it happens to be out of stock. Just make sure you're careful with who you buy from on eBay, just to avoid problems in the future

    #3 Yes, that's what i done on my first build to save money.

    I'd be happy to answer any other questions/problems you may have

    Note on the third one, Laptops use a 2.5" drive, and most ATX cases only accept 3.5" for their drive bays. You might need to find a bracket that would allow you to retrofit a 2.5" into a 3.5" bay, or else chances are, the drive will not be able to be screwed in, and will be loose inside the case.

    The 670 is a better card, but a bit more expensive. I would honestly recommend the 660 Ti, so later on if it starts falling off, you can grab another for SLI. But its really more dependent on your current budget, as when the time the 660 Ti is starting to fall behind, its quite possible that better $/performance cards will be released.

    Estimated shipping fees (Amazon) : 50+€ ...
    overclockers.co.uk is in pounds, and I'm gonna explain the problem this way :
    Amazon : 220$ -> 160 €
    Overclockers : 180 pounds -> 210 €
    (for an intel core i5 3570k)
    So none of these two sites really work, since amazon prime is only for shippings within the USA , and that's obviously not the case ...
    Any other sites ?

    Yeah, sure bro.
    I know these things, the 660ti is more than capable of running modern games on max, 1920x1080.
    It's is almost identical to the 670 with the only difference being the memory bandwidth.
    Also, the 660 has a minimum fps of 43 on crysis 2 on ultra, so the 660ti is roughly the same, a possible few fps more.

    Don't argue if you clearly have less of an idea of what you're talking about.

    I would go with 660ti because it's enough and cheaper. I would suggest buying from a EU computer forum for the best prices.
