Well obviously, that tutorial is out of date which is why they recommend using a program that's 7 or 8 years old. I suggest buying a book instead of going off of tutorial on the internet. Look for any newer edition/newer publish date. However, there are lots of tutorials on the internet that go through the usage of the 2010+ versions
