Your story didn't really prove anything except that asking for thanks gets you nowhere. If you have to ask for thanks, then you obviously don't deserve it. At least most of the time. Your story being an exception of which. Honestly, If I see someone who actually put some work into their upload or it helped me out, then I'll thanks. If I see "Thanks me, please.", then I don't. Also, I'm slightly bagging more on those who that shit in their sigs. I would have thanked you though

People asking for thanks..."Leave a thanks if I helped". "Thank me if I helped you". "Leave a thanks?" "Please press thanks". "Don't be afraid to hit that thanks button". "Thank me if you agreed with me" <----My favorite one. Shouldn't this be considered abuse of the system. It defeats the purpose. If someone thinks you deserve a thanks, then they will give it to you. Simple as that. Also, people shouldn't pride themselves on thanks. They don't mean anything...

It's in my Signature, but I don't sue it as a bribe. If someone thinks I helped then they can press it. If they think I didn't then I don't care, they don't have to.

It's because "thanking" has become the new "like". Just like Facebook where people are like whores "1 like=1 prayer, 1 like= 1 punch in the face, etc.". Same thing here, but only with the thanking...

I actually have to disagree..
i mean yeah its annoying.. but if you helped someone the least they can do is give you a thanks.. it just makes you feel good in the heart.. maybe its just me..
