7 Thanks isn't a lot and won't take long before you get there. The likely hood of someone picking the correct number (out of 300) in the amount of time before you get to 45 is very low. If you're just looking for thanks (which you are), just say "post a number between 1 and 300 and once I get to 45 thanks, I'll pick a random number (from the list of numbers people post)".
