Help with my computer

So my computer and everything disappeared on my desktop. The only thing i can see on my desktop is my mouse,wallpaper, and my aim window. But that's about it.

When i try to open the start menu it just closes right away. Can anyone help me please?

You mean the the start button and stuff?
That means you've ended explorer.exe

Press CTRL + ALT + DEL

Go to task manager...
Click File at the top
Click new task
Type in explorer.exe and press enter

Should work.

hmm it doesn't seem to work i had this problem on this laptop but all it took was a restart but my desktop isn't working that way. N i opened task manager. explorer.exe is still running.

End explorer.
