To be honest, I do indeed believe there is some judging of Easterners here in the US. It seems there is an overwhelming uneasiness after 9/11, which while not completely unfounded, is pretty ridiculous. For the most part though, it's not as much as you would think. I am accepting of everybody, as most people here are. Though there always those lacking of intellect that make us seem like unintelligent racists.

Unfortunately all the media is privately owned, and can basically air whatever they want. I have never seen a single positive news story about events in the East. It is always about some extremists, corruption, and war. It is sad because the more "Breaking" news stories about these events they air, the larger their audience becomes, generating more money. Western media basically makes their money off of exploiting "news" about those sort of events. Rather than actually posting regular news about the East, such as new laws passed, elections, or big events. It truly is a shame what the national media news has become. Respect to you my brother.

They are trying to prevent any attempts to correct the distorted image of Middle east
