How did you learn modelling?l
Hello everyone! I recently started getting into modelling and started watching a couple of tutorials , but i'm not sure where to go from here.
I'm curious, how did you start modelling? What was your process?
I started with c4d (and still use it) cuz a friend of mine made a lot of cool stuff (very good renders) and decided to do the same. started to make primitive constructions, then started to do point to point modelling and then I decided to use the features seriously, so I went and saw a couple videos on youtube.

:O What exactly do you mean by primitive constructions? Blocks stacked on top of echotor with a couple of circles and tubes?

If you use software like cinema4d you'll notice that there are some pre-built poligons such as cubes, spheres, cilinders, torus. discs, planes, etc... That's what I meant.

Look, you can do as I do, start by using primitives to get the main picture. Then make editable (ionly use c4d now, dont know how it works in other softwares, cant remember) and them create vertices on the polygon lines (not sure if i made it clear). then, shape it till u get the figure u want. thats mainly how I do it, ofc there are tools in the program to help you model, so it isnt always the hard way
About the pros, I don't know...
I started to nibble on youtube was the most clear and free to learn

Thats the best way.
I started exploring C4D on my own, but sometimes I got a hard time using some features so I youtubed them
