This is my computer specs

Cpu: AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 4850e
Ram:5.1gb DDR2
Video Card GeForce GT 640
2.5 GHZ

Can it run bf3?

Yeah but only on a very low graphics setting and resolution.

would i get 20-40 fps? if so if i get a 3.0 GHZ processor how much will the fps increase?

I can't say about your FPS. You should get over 30 if you play on low settings.
Your processor makes barely any difference when gaming, the biggest improvement will be your graphics card. You need a high end graphics card to run games smoothly.

Can I ask how people on YouTube can run high settings with the fps of 30-50 with a GeForce gt 640?

They can say that all they want, your cpu is there to process shit just as much as your graphics card is, fair enough they deal with different things but upgrading the cpu will increase your fps.

Downgrade your pc to a Pentium 2 processor and tell me that your FPS hasn't decreased a shit tonne or you can't even open the game.

Anyway you should be able to play on low settings at 1024x800 with 30-45 fps i guess. Overclock it maybe?

or they have fake videos... some people play on gt630m on ultra, i was pretty sure i coud run bf3 on my pc, but i cant even on MEGA low settings.....

some people put smooth videos with meny fps but they are liars.........

I'm getting a new pc will this be able to run it on high-ultra?

and I can run BF3 on Ultra - 1920x1080
Need a serious boost for my CPU but honestly, 3GHZ + is fine.

I get around 55 - 60 fps on my (AMD CPU) & with the same GPU my (i7 CPU) Get's around 60 - 73 fps.. Sooo.. I'm guessing yeah processors can make abit of a change but not alot! I use a XFX R7770 SuperClocked as my (GPU)

If you are going for the Gtx 650 ti & say a i7 you would get easy 60fps on high/ultra maybe not 100% though
