Shoplifting

So I've gotten into the habit of stealing some yu-gi-oh card packs from Walmart for some friends of mine. It hasn't been a whole lot, just a pack here and there and I'm not too worried about being caught and stuff.

But if I did happen to get caught, what are the consequences?

Jail ofc, but yugio oh cards come on.

Jail or prison time, punitive fines, community service hours, etc.

If they saw everything, it would total to be under like 20$

Well It has happened to me once while i was in walmart I mistakenly carried a techdeck and put it in my pocket this fat black dude followed me the whole time I was there after I checked out and cashier told me to go into the office they all had this secreat door and inside where all these huge tv's. I told them it was a mistake they wrote a fine ticket and mailed it to my house for 50$.

Well it depends what store you steal from one of my friends got banned for year from target because he stole a transformer action figure.

theft gets put on your record. who wants to hire someone who is a thief?

A Misdemeanor with light fines. Possible jailtime if it's a repeat offense.

but I made it out of the store with the merchandise. Would they check the cameras and what not?

Listen! If you get caught just put it down and walk out the store. They cant do anything to you if you dont take anything out of the property..

It hurts how similar our situations are.

I had been stealing Yu-Gi-Oh cards with my friend from MANY different places for like 2 years before November, then I got caught. :S

Only because we hit the same place for the third time in a row, it's alright, overall from all the different places, I stole over 1.5k $ worth of stuff. (Cards or not).

The consequences differ from place to place, where I live, since I'm only 16, I got off with a "warning". A non-criminal charge was placed on my record, but it can only really be seen by the police and it's only in my province. It doesn't appear on most broad searches either. So it's not that bad, only thing is I had to stop. Can't get caught with that shit again, or then serious shit's going down.

Just moderate yourself, and do NOT, EVER, hit the same place more than once.

False, yes they can. If they catch you with the goods on you and have video or picture evidence to support their claim, you're fucked. Unless you manage to run and get away, but if they actually stop you, you're fucked.

In my case they never bothered to check the cameras. I just put the item down and walk out of the store..
