MineCon 2013

Hey guys!

So, let's talk Minecon 2013. Any of you guys going? I actually plan to. This year Minecon has been confirmed to be the East Coast of the US. The 3 most rumored areas are Boston, New York, and Orlando, Florida. Now, the most "confirmed" area was in Orlando due to the fact that Mojang recently signed a contract with Disney or whatever and the only disneyland in the east coast is in Orlando.

I plan to save a good amount of my money, buy a ticket after the summer (which was when Jeb said they'd be available) and take some time off of school to go. Really excited.

Anyone here planning to go?

I actually am trying to plan and go. Because I am going on vacation to Jacksonville Florida which isnt far from Orlando. I say 30-1 hour drive. Or Hour And Half

Wondering where Minecon will be held this year? Anxious to get your travel plans in order, and prepare for another awesome convention? You might not need to wait long! Minecon 2013 has been confirmed for the US east coast, although the exact location is not yet known. Jens "Jeb" Bergensten had the following to offer:

Jeb said:
The contract with the location has been signed, so it's mainly a question of people getting back from business trips. ETA for announcement should be end of May. Tickets will be available later (probably after summer, but I could be wrong).

While the convention's exact location has not yet been revealed, the two most likely east coast locations would seem to be New York, or Florida. Minecon 2012 was held in Disneyland Paris, and with Florida being the home of Disney World, in Orlando, it is a strong contender for Minecon 2013. Minecon '11 and '12 had approximately 4,500 attendees.

Yeah, just like I said. Orlando has a high chance of getting it over New York or Boston, but those are possible choices.

I live in Australia. Unless someone gimme $3000 I think im not going.

I live in the US but in cali, and i can't afford a plane ticket to orlando + a minecon ticket.. sad life

I want to go..But I can't afford it.
And will you be getting a cape this year too?

I'm pretty sure I'm going. There's like a 2% chance I'm not - just my MTB tourney is around the same time and that requires like 2 weeks off.
I hope I can go!
