This is how you can still use MSN after Microsoft switched over to Skype.

To bypass the forced upgrade, download my Messenger Reviver 2 utility and run the application. As this requires changes to Messenger you may receive a message asking you to allow Reviver to make changes to your computer.

Reviver will automatically attempt to detect if Messenger is still installed, which versions are eligible for modification and if you need to run a repair or new installation to bring Messenger back (if Skype has removed it).

Step 1: Download messenger Reviver 2 and follow the instructions.

Who said you can't ? You CAN make group conversations with Skype.

This was meant to help people not get scammed by fake middlemen on Skype.

Now , they have no excuses saying it's the mods fault for not being clear bla bla.

If there were any way to do that , I wouldn't know it.

Why use msn over skype? Because skype sucks.

Instead of downloading this, people can just do it themselves.

I wrote up this quick tut back in April. Still works since I recently installed WLM 2009 with this method.

2nd: In the left side Resources pane, find the Version Information folder and select "1 [English (United States)]"

3rd: On the right, find the ProductVersion. Change the first two digits to anything higher than your current version.
For instance, mine was originally 16.4.xxxx.xxxx, so I changed it to 20.4.xxxx.xxxx.

4th: Save and overwrite existing msnmsgr.exe. Restart application and enjoy.
