I believe they're simply always from the left side. Don't know if it's possible.
It's possible, but they don't do that. You either have it to the left, or full sized.
I'd like it if it was possible, but I'm not sure if I'd like to stick with it due to it not being aligned with the text beneath.

Open your image and center it on the image we created earlier.
My avatar is less than 150 wide so i made the left side transparent, it wont be perfect but it will be over some but if you use all the space you just have to live with it.
