It says no avatar size increases, I can't find anything about not having it centered.

My avatar is less than 150 wide so i made the left side transparent, it wont be perfect but it will be over some but if you use all the space you just have to live with it.

You're not resizing the avatar at all, you're just adding a transparent layer and then you're able to center it

I crop and make my own to maximize the space I'm given.
