clean scope mod

clean scope mod
this is my first ever mod, rez or otherwise

nothing special, just cleaned out ACOG so theres no more mesh anymore (makes it soooooo much easier to see people while scoped in). also resized the dot size to a bare minimum of 1 pixel; makes it very easy to pull off head shots at medium-long ranges.

cleaned out red dot sight too (although there wasn't really anything much to clean out) and resized the dot size to 1 pixel also. its a thing of beauty, you can see exactly where the AR bullet will land (and i mean EXACTLY) and you can literally just 1 hit HS on every shot.

P90 - resized the red dot to 2x2 pixel, same idea as the ACOG and red dot, makes it very easy shoot with pin point accuracy, you can easily head shot literally with every shot at medium+ ranges until the target exceeds gun range

hope you guys will like it. it was very simple to do and if something similar is already out, i apologize.

thoughts comments suggestions always welcome.

EDIT: i apologize for not providing screenshots, i didn't know that it was part of the standard protocol. anyways, here they are

[ORDER] - ACOG, ACOG, RED-DOT, P90

as i mentioned, nothing special, just removed ACOG mesh and shrunk the aiming dot to allow better view of the target (especially with red dot). makes it very easy to snipe w/ ARs now

Not sure why you're waiting for aeronyxjr to post a screenshot. You're the thread starter. Anyways approved. The file is clean although no screenshot was provided... I'm not going to keep an attachment lingering simply because one component is missing.

Add a screenshot please.

It was aeronyxjr that edited the OP and put that there.

OT: Make the cross hair dot a little bigger
can't edit anymore, i'll keep that in mind for next time though, thanks. and as for the cross hair, why have it bigger? it seems big enough to aim with at close/mid ranges and its small enough so that when you're trying to snipe long range you can actually see the heads of people while you're aiming at them (i.e if you snipe from oil rig blue spwan to red roof, even with a red dot, you can actually see the dot on top of the head). whats your reasoning behind making it bigger?
There is nothing to change here. What I mean by that is that Nexon is actually correct with their crosshair size.

Think about it for a second. Slap an iTech on the ParaFAL or just get Cpt. Souza's ParaFAL. Its 79 accuracy makes it unreliable in long-range fights. If you rely on the small crosshair to "snipe from oil rig blue spwan to red roof", which is a quote from you, you will miss a lot because the ParaFAL has horrible accuracy for an NX weapon.

The red dot is large so as to make it easier for those with low-accuracy weapons to better gauge their limits with their weapons. If you aim for the face with your .rez Mod with a ParaFAL across Snow Valley you will either miss or get them in the high torso, but rarely in the head.

You also say that "You can actually see the heads of people while you're aiming at them." I want you to take your mod and aim at someone's face, while they're moving and while they're attempting to shoot you back.

It's not easy.

The crosshair changes nothing. The main point of sniping is to get a clean one-shot kill so they can't fight back. That's why sniper rifles are used to snipe. The longer-range AR's tend to be used for tap-firing across a long distance, not to snipe. Sniping and long-distance AR combat is different.

well ive noticed that the smaller size does nothing to improve or degrade any weapons performance at any ranges. from my experience the guns behave in same manner at medium-close and medium ranges with the scopes.

but at longer ranges the issue (at least for me) when trying to pull off clean HSes with itech was that most of the time the dot would be too big for me to see the details of a body at longer ranges (because the dot covered it up) and so i'd have to guess where the head would be, which often caused me to miss (shooting 1-2 pixels too high, or too much to the left/right). so when i made these mods, i instantly noticed i was getting more HSes long range.

the only thing the mod does is allow you to aim with greater accuracy at longer ranges and with a stable gun, i don't see why your HS rate should increase if you're counter sniping. if you're trying to hit a running target however, thats a different story. its hard to HS moving targets, but for counter sniping, where its important to take out the target as fast as you can, i like this mod.

personally i prefer itech mod on a SG550. if you don't get 1 hit HS while aiming at the head through a itech, you're doing something wrong. this mod should do nothing more than allow a better view of your target at longer ranges. at all other ranges it shouldn't really make much of a difference
no! its not! i I can make the scope as I want! larger, bigger, small! changing colour, format and take out the big black circle!
dot is too small for my liking. Cleaning the mesh was easy but, it's a good idea.
yeah the dot seems too small, I can barely see it. Like the idea though.
i would say the dot is a bit too small and could be mistaken for a piece of dust on the computer screen in which case one would have no idea what one was attempting to shoot.

Dust is only visible in clusters; that is a completely invalid statement.
