Can anyone teach me how to program lua for free?

As mentioned in the title,I wanna learn to program lua,so can anyone teach me how to program lua for free?I really wanna create my own hacks for Garry's Mod.Thnks in advance

It is free to program lua.. you just need to learn the language and you should use notepad++ rather than normal notepad.

Or i want to learn from someone/I want someone to teach me CAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO USE LUA

You shouldn't start in coding from hacking. I'd recommend you go take a look at the gmod wiki and start in making addons for darkrp or sandbox first.

DarkRP has its own library and premade metafunctions, why not start from something that will always exist in the game?

I kinda know how to code lua addons i made a gamemode with new guns and player player models a long time ago i agree you should learn lua from addons first then try easy lua hacks.

I would definitely start off with the lua tutorials from the old wiki: Lua Tutorial Series - GMod Wiki (note: somethings in the lua tutorials may have changed in 13)
