SOTW preliminaries?

Why don't we have a preliminary round for the sotw?
To eliminate the people that are not going to get voted at all, or are probably will vote for themselves.

Make it exclusive only to mods
(No normal member voting)

the approved images go to the real voting chosen by members.

because that just over complicates things and sotw dosent really matter enough and or have enough members doing it consistently for a preliminary round

But this actually narrows it down, there's always gonna be about 2 of them thats gonna have 10 more votes than the others

And the gfx team should do more than make sigs :P

The problem with some kind of tryouts, is that is defeats the point of it been SOTWeek. And frankly i don't see the point. Although i have been trying to sort out a judging panel for SOTW entries. This will both shorting the voting time and make the decisions un-biased.
