Farming..
So I have some money to buy PC parts so that I can start farming, but I have to make a decision.

My current PC specs are:

AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2GHZ
4GB DDR3 Ram

I can either buy 16GB Ram, or buy an AMD FX 8350, what one is the better way to go? I want to run as many VM's as possible, so should I buy more memory? Or the better CPU? Does anyone own my current CPU? Can it run cows? If so, does anyone know how many?

Get ram. You will probably be able to open up a few more
How many cows will I be able to run with 16GB Ram and the 955 CPU?

1 v 6 - 4gb to original windows and 2gb for each vmware.
Ram I have a beast ass 4k PC and Since I kind of skimped on the RAM and only have 8GB I can only run like 5 VMwares tops
What do people buy a CPU that's not from intel?

Intel makes the best CPU's I don't ever recommend getting any other CPU's.

And for all the people that are saying get RAM, RAM isn't the only thing handling multiclients.. It's also the CPU.

TBH, if you want a good experience, buy an Intel Core i7 + 16GB rip jaws.

I have an i7 and a Phenom. I'd still go AMD every time. For the fact that I can set up 2 computer's for the price of one intel and it still has the same specs. Intel do make the best CPU's, but who really uses their CPU at it's full potential that often to justify the extra cost.

You know there's probably only 30-50 people in CF who can actually run cows. There's probably only 5 here and as far as I know they all run i7's

Extra cost because they last longer, not burn within 2-3 years. Lol.
I can't afford an i7, thats why I went AMD in the first place, and I will be upgrading to an 8 core AMD CPU in the future, because my current one can run 1v6 with 16GB RAM, at least that's what everyone is saying..

Anyone know if that RAM is good enough?
@rchayne .

Yeah I know lol, I'm poor. I hope it will be able to run cows, your's seemed to run them fine?
Yeah AMD CPU's run really hot..
