Warrock DLL Injector question
Hey all!
I've tried to write a simple DLL injector and it works for most of applications except warrock! I am using VirtualAllocEx function to allocate the memory in order to load there my dll but this function fails for me with error 5 - access denied. And here's the question for those who already have created injectors to Warrock. How did you go about this? Is there any other way to inject dll? I would be really very grateful for any answers!
You can do it in several ways, either visual basic or c++.
Since you are using C++, make sure that you first check if you have acces to the memory before injecting it.
But i suggest you use visual basic since there are alot of tutorials on it
Greetings, aero.
Thanks for answer!
The problem is I don't have the access to Warrock memory but I can successfuly open process handle. And that's all. I get access denied when trying to usethis function: VirtualAllocEq and I have no idea how can other people who create injectors have this access?

You've made cool guide here about dumping warrock.exe and mentioned there about kernel detective having its own read / write routine. So I guess that's why it's able to dump warrock but I actually don't like kernel mode and guess I won't delve into that becouse the program will be unstable and after a year it might not work as it has worked earlier ;d.

And yeah, I've seen some source code of warrock injector in visual basic... but why in visual basic, not in c++? Is visual basic somehow better in accessing memory?; O(doubt it)

You'r welcome!
Visual basic is way easier then using C++, because it's more used there are alot more source code's available for it.
But c++ is faster, if you read the the diffrences between c++ and visual basic you can see the disadvantages between the two.
With c++ you can do alot more fun stuff then vb.
I personally never tried coding an injector in c++.
I suggest you visit the C++ section.
I hope this helps, i'm not gonna give advice if i never tried it, that would just be stupid.

But there are a few injectors created especially for warrock. People posted them here on mpgh and I doubt if they are all created in visual basic :P. I'm gonna try Albus Injector tommorow and see if it works for warrock. If so, maybe the creator would be so kind to give me some tips in my glorious purpose! I might create a program which can dump warrock whatever system u're running!
Albus injector seems to work but again only in the first few seconds after you push "Start Game" in the launcher window. I'm not sure if that injects appropriately cause I tried to dump warrock in my attached .dll and the resulted size of the file was ~3MB - same as WarrockEU\system\warrock.exe, which I guess is not a complete binary data of warrock? On the next window(Warrock menu) the injector doesn't work any longer and I guess that THIS is the place when I should inject my dll if I want to make a dump?

btw, my account just got banned and I haven't played a single game with it xD. Seems like Warrock has actually quite strong protections ;/

It's probably still packed with themida.
You could use ChimpRec, it can dump the executable on any os.
If you inject a dll you always do it in WarRock.exe, since this is the main program that is used, modules sush as EHSvc are injected/loaded into that main executable, everything you want to do should be done inside this program.

Uuhm, yes i've seen some people making c++ injectors but i can't exactly remember who that was.
But im pretty sure on youtube you can find a tutorial.

This is a series and he makes his own inejctor in c++ to.
I hope this helped, if not or if you have a question feel free to ask it.
Greetings, aero.
