Full client release

The only website i trust when i download .exe is mpgh, this is not a good idea to download it. But if you want some keylogger you can, haha

I make said client, yes it comes as an .exe because it has a bunch of extra stuff (fame calc, roll calc, coupon codes for said website) that don't fit into the .swf. Its also used in order to streamline the update process, every time I patch something in it (often adding and/or fixing a hack) it'll pop up with a message letting you know and its a one-click way to update your client. Instead of having to return to the site / wait for MPGH approval. It still uses a .swf to actually play the game, and if you aren't brain dead its pretty simple to just play through the .swf if you don't want to see the website advertisement every day.

People are, rightfully, paranoid. But that client has been released for as long as WB has been a website, over a year now with a short hiatus for a few patches.

For all I care, download the thing and just use the .swf to play. You only really need the .exe if you want the roll/fame calcs and to save 10% on the actual site.

I looked at the .exe and there is a lot going on in there. I didn't it run it myself but from what I seen by inspecting it, it appears as if the program edits your host file (probably because the site where the .exe is found doesn't want you using any other shop).

It should.. Mostly to block all the old shops like defpot, etc which are now defunct but, for whatever reason, still take payments. I believe PotionsROTMG and Rotmg.CA aren't on the list, all the rest are because their owners are dicks. Looking at you, proshop.

Honestly the whole idea of this application being based on your site is smart, ultimately, it's free advertising and people look to your site every update.
Would you consider letting me help you make the tool? i'm just looking for some fun making something that will actually be used. I'm good with .NET as you might know. I have some cool ideas, consider pming me or something.

That client is abusing the fact that people on this site feel some hacks should not be available to leechers. I find that disgusting.

Your opinion, above pretty much every other random stranger on the Internet, is actually meaningful to me. If you really do think some of the hacks should be disabled, give me a heads up and I'm pretty willing to consider taking them off - but I'd like to hear some reasoning.

I generally used to agree with the sentiment that some things shouldn't be released, but since MPGH has allowed all of Botmaker's bullshit on here, I kind of gave up on this game. I'd really like to hear why you disagree w/ SS debuffs on my client but they were allowed (and, AFAIK released) here?

Not sure I fully agree with this. While it may, technically, be how MPGH's rules are set up, a minion position is on a fully volunteer basis. My logic is, if you don't like it that much, why would you help promote it here on MPGH by being the one who approves that kind of stuff but then disagree with it elsewhere.

Like I said, I'm perfectly open to hearing her opinion on it, and I value her opinion greatly - to the point where even if I disagreed with it I'd probably still have enough respect to go along with it nonetheless. I don't think I'm too much of a jerk for asking, though, y'know?
