Not according to the benchmarks, BF4 and a few others run 10-30 frames faster depending on the hardware and setting that you use, to me that's enough incentive to update.

Could you post a link to some benchmarks please? I tested mostly software used in offices and studios, and there there is not actually any noticeable differences, if the difference in gaming can be so big, it is good to know.

I'll try and find the benchmark test I was looking at yesterday, it specifically tested BF4 on Low settings with a variety of cards using the Beta FPS, Official game with Windows 7 FPS and the Official game with Windows 8 FPS. I'll PM you if I find it.

Nah, I mean that say you use a 780 on Windows 7 and get 150 FPS,(bear in mind this is referring to BF4 only) on Windows 8 you'd get around 170 or 180 FPs. To me that's enough reason to upgrade.

The higher the resolution and settings, the less and less noticeable any differences will be. Seeming as I run basically everything at 1440p on Max Settings, a couple of FPS are rather inconsequential. Plus, I don't find a couple of frames worth wading through the shitlake that is Windows 8.

Also, I'd still like to see those benchmarks, because I'm having trouble believing the difference is even registerable.
