Game Dev Tycoon Hack

Hey guys I just got Game Dev Tycoon and I was looking into hacking it. The only hack I have found includes going into the save file and changing stats that way and the file itself is under user/appdata/local. After searching for a while I was not able to find it at all yet my game still runs, saves, etc. My steam is installed on an external drive along with all of my games so I was wondering if that has anything to do with it and how I could find that file.

Thanks but I actually just found an easy way. On the developer website there are a couple mods for the game, one of which is a cheat mode where you can add fans, money, instant research, instant lvl 10 employees, etc.
