See..... if Naruto wasn't the main character, by him having Kurama extracted he'd die. However, because he is the main character, he'll live... somehow.

Much less sasuke, the kage, the previous hokage, the minor characters of the other teams.....
Yeh I agree wth happened to the 2nd hokage and fk 3rd he's useless all he uses is mud and a monkey. Also merry Christmas everyone 
In all honesty the 3rd hokage has been pretty useless. Come on, the man was considered God of Shinobi in his time. Why is he so impotent all of a sudden?

The 7 swordsmen aren't anything great. The scythe guy who fought Pain was pretty tough but Mifune (samurai leader) is probably the strongest now that I think about it.
