Was the DayZ standalone alpha access anything worthwhile or should I wait until it's released?
Also, if anyone has any extra keys for steam they wont need or use or have enough friends to pass around. Shoot.

Wait till it's released so you don't have to play through all the bugs

Well the DayZ SA has a lot of less things then the MOD atm.
However it is playable but in my experience I suggest you should wait till it's less buggy

I bought it a couple of days before Christmas, I say buy it.
This is the cheapest it will be for a long time.
Although bugs are annoying as fuck, you can really have fun if you get over them..
Unless you get stuck under 2 fucking buildings like I did.

I think buy it now , funny at all , even with bugs

Biggest reason you should buy it now I think is when it releases it'll go higher and higher in price .. like Arma III it was I think on Alpha for 30$ " Like DayZ " when on Beta it was 40$ , and finally 50$

Honestly I'd get it, it has bugs, but more enjoyable than the mod and the game will most likely cost more when completed. So why not now?

First thing I noticed is that you can open doors/climb ladders/pickstuff up with 'F' key now, which is nice

It's fun for a while. But after some time playing you have all the stuff you can get and it gets boring.

Yes controls are a bit easier , but needs some practicing and you may watch some YT Videos for beginner so it'll help a lot

its worth it imo, if you played a lot of the mod
it wont be released for at least a year and a half since they don't expect to go into beta until next year

Well then, unless someone has a spare copy to share I'll have to wait for a while.
Next time money comes in.

I got a good 60 hours+ on it, I would buy it so you wouldn't have to buy it for a bigger price later on when it's complete. ^_^

Play Rust, still alpha, but one hell of a game, and cheaper.
