X360/PS3 Emulation: Explain why it's not possible...
Can someone please explain in detail why the modern consoles need tremendous computing resources to be emulated on PC? Why isn't it possible to install a X360/PS3 firmware on any hardware? Why does a GameCube emulator need a +3Ghz Quad-Core CPU to be even usable when GameCube is a terrible weak console?
Can someone please explain how exactly emulation is done and why it requires so much resource in detail?* Contact Information *

Still doesn't explain why you can't install firmware of X360/PS4 on a PC? If you directly install the firmare, where would be no need for an emulator.

The consoles OS was made specifically for that console.
If you wanted to emulate an Xbox 360 on your PC, you would have to configure the OS or Windows NT to your specific specs if I am not mistaken.
And even then, it will be buggy and Internet will not work. Basically, you would have to reprogram and recode EVERYTHING in order to have it function.there's nothing left for you here.

You need a large number of people to just recreate the OS.
As everyone stated, the OS wouldn't work very well, since it was coded mainly for the Console it self.
You would end up recoding the whole OS, which wouldn't exactly make a Xbox 360 anymore. Originally Posted by Dave84311

They made the possessor for ps3 extremely hard to emulate and code for to try and pulling more exclusives but it worked against them :/

I seriously don't get it? What's the difference between the CPU of a PC and those of a console? Don't they all do math? What difference does it make if one runs 4 threads and the other runs 100? And why can't you install console firmwares on PC? Someone please explain...
