Skype profile field restrictions

Hello,

This is a silly little thing and I'm sure the administrators here are much to busy for this but I'll go ahead and bring this up anyway.

When filling out my user profile, upon reaching the "Skype" text box, I'm unable to successfully enter my Skype name. I get thrown back with the error "Invalid Skype name." I'm sure that this because, up until recently, Skype names only consisted of letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Now with heavy integration of Microsoft within Skype, new Skype account names are, by default, the E-mail address with which the user created the Skype/Microsoft account with. The profile field seems to restrict users from inputting E-mail addresses, as well as colons.

Sorry if this was already brought up, I used the search function but to no avail...

Not too sure whether something will happen, but I'm telling you, it ain't even working ... My skype icon leads back to my profile perfectly, yet the status won't change to online, busy or afk ... So it's w/e

If you are talking about a Skype username with ******username. Then yeah, it says that.
I tried putting mine once, but as you stated, it shows invalid skype name.
Try getting those Skype badges and putting it as your signature

Yea, that's the issue I was experiencing. Ah well, not biggie. I've just gone ahead and put my Skype handle in my signature.
