Video Games may be competitive and held in tournaments, but in no way are they a sport.
They're no more sport than a game of Monopoly.

You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.

That's something new.
Meets the requirements for a sport... So its a sport.
I think everything that has a competitive aspect is a sport
yes, i think so, but it depends on the type of game of course
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
It only fits a portion of the definition of a sport. Which is the competitive part (in some games), but the physical exertion is no where related to gaming.
Godlike.
I really don't think video games are sport, Video games maybe considered E-Sport
No no no it should not be considered a sport. Look again at the definition

I wouldn't directly call it a sport, since not all video games are playable as a Sport, there are sport like aspects to it, but just calling video games and gaming a sport, isn't an accurate representation of it.
Esport is a better term for it, because that covers more competitive professional gaming, such as CoD and LoL just for two examples.
Just look how many people watched/attended the LoL Season 3 world championship, so i believe some things come under Esport, they are similar, but not the same.
Sport:
an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
Esports:

In 5 years half the games played as an esport now will no longer be competitive.
:/
No In my opinion it's not, but I bet it'll become in 10-15 years or so.
Its for sure is sport, because i think there are many other sitting, slow activities what are consider sport
