About modding...

From working with @Jerf, we've discovered that WITHOUT a hacking method, modding cannot be done due to how rez files are now loaded.


let the modding begin if we find a new method. Let's drop the walls, jump start the section, and "let hackers and modders unite" ~Jerf

So even the coveted MD5 spoofing method doesn't work now???? Back to fauxswaps.

Only release publicly if you're sure Nexon isn't patching it within the year. I'll be happy to test and run some diagnostics.

From what we can see, the reason the batch file bypass i released doesn't work is because they don't load the rez files with a "-rez" command anymore, the command they use is memory based and even then we couldn't load our files without crashing

We have one more option, but it's not easy and it took dumb luck to get the first time, to make it happen again and consistantly? that's another story

i will say this, if this works, it's not going to be a public release without some sort of super protected loader with pre-made modding features. It's worked before, it can work again BUT like i said, it was dumb luck the first time, and the source for the original was lost in a system wipe

no idea what your doin claypole, we've tried everything with the batch file, and it NEVER loads the rez file. if u want to pm me the method though, i got one of the best coders out there willing to make a heavily protected launcher to bring back modding and only selected mods would show up in this launcher

Damn. Nexon is bucking the fuck down on modding. You oughta send me that method too. If not it's w/e, But I'm eager to drop a few new texture mods and rock some sick ass texture mods myself too.
