hi
through over-analyzing or not questioning it at all
blindly clinging to what you've been told or taking a moment to digest the bullshit you've been feed
in the end i suppose you finally come to terms with what is, what isn't, and what's worth debating in the first place.
everyone wants to feel that they're here for a reason, everyone wants to believe what their mothers and fathers told them, and their mothers and fathers want to believe it too.
people need an extra leg to stand on, something big to lean against, and feel assured that it'll hold them up no matter what.
nobody wants to rot in the ground when the end comes, it's difficult to think about what happens at the end when no one has come back with a written map or a book full of pictures to show you.
so religion comes into play, opiate of the masses.
with this, you can belligerently trudge through all the shit that happens to you and keep going forward with a hope in your heart, a hope that in the end it'll be worth it, that you didn't do all of it for nothing. a light at the end of this long, lonely road called life.
some people need this reassurance, and some people could care less
or some people could over analyze everything they've been told, and everything that happens by pure chance is divine intervention, the hand of an omnipotent god.
i've chose to not really debate it anymore.
it doesn't matter what you choose to believe, because you're still driving the same 4 door sedan to the same low playing job, earning hardly enough to get by, or you're wealthy, living in a big house with kids and a loving wife, despite whether or not you go to church. crusading for either side of the spectrum is just a pointless thing do to.
