Name change requirements

Hello everyone,

I am laurens007, a loooong-time leecher here at MPGH. I very rarely post things, I am not here often however, in an effort to unify my internet-traces I've started to use bottleofbeer/thebottleofbeer in all my www-travels.

However, I noticed that in order to change my name I need a 1000 postcount. I am nowhere near that - I don't like to spam and am not here often, so there's no real way of getting to that postcount anytime soon, so hence my question...

Why is the 1000 postcount a hard requirement as mentioned in the sticky's? I feel that longer time members (over, say, 3 years) should be able to request a name change.

I joined January 30th, 2009 and I was 15 years old at that point, at a very different part in my life, so hence my question.

Before you guys ask - I do not feel like making a new account. 2 accounts on the same IP do not look good, and I like my join date as it is.

Anyway, keep up the good work MPGH, and hope you guys can answer my question
