Getting back in.

So I just recently started playing some DayZ again and I've already met strong resistance from hackers.
Since I've been gone for a while I've obviously missed some things, would someone please tell me what's new?

I also have a few questions, today I ran up against several hackers that I'm very certain had unlimited ammo, they fired endlessly at least a 100 bullets and I swear, no reload. How? Hack or in-game glitch?

And now with the new cities and towns I find it increasingly more difficult to navigate and even more so find my friends when we play.
Is there some easier way to get to your friends rather than spending several hours trying to find one another before ultimately getting buttfucked by another player or hacker?

well hacking is only other way to find them fast. But I noticed there are more hackers since the end of May. They were able to use a hack that stripped you of your gear but that got patched supposedly.

Are you sure there's no way to get more favorable spawns near the sea or something like that, such as somehow committing suicide to be able to respawn somewhere else?

The SA is in pretty rough shape, anyone who has good gear is either a hacker or knows one. The thing about DayZ is it's harsh death system. You could play for hours or days just to be one shotted by a kid with a rifle or in this case, a hacker. As it currently stands, there is no way to spawn closer to a friend or group up with them, you'll just have to find one another and start playing. It kinda sucks but it's how the game was designed, hopefully the devs change a few things.

Most likely a hacker. Never heard of an in-game glitch causing Unlimited Ammo. Also welcome back!

I was once locked in a bugged jail cell that wouldn't open, I lost my hello kitty biker helmet.

Sounds like an utterly awful experience. My friend that died with me recently in a hack attack lost his pretty Childs Briefcase with a ladybug on it.

I'm assuming that you don't have hacks that works and would mind spawning me some stuff?
Pretty sore after having run for over an hour to ultimately fall to my death from a one meter jump.

Nah I don't have any, I might look into developing some eventually.
