Issue with Key changing

Hi, I've recently spent money on finally buying a legit key from a proper website rather than the 30 stolen keys i've gotten from mpgh and various other sources. However there is an issue

Running darky keychanger im able to change the key and it seemed to work fine for a couple of days i was able to play the game without issue. but the other day i ran arma 2 just standard from the desktop and it seemed to of changed something... I think my old Steam key is automatically comming back everytime i play (which is banned)

wondering on a solution to fix this thanks

I think the issue is that my appdata file is on my C:/ Drive where as my game is all on my D:/ Drive... not sure how i could move them over.. any suggestions?

The problem is that Arma II has moved onto steam. Now instead of having CD-Keys keep track of bans, you now have your STEAM-ID that keeps track of your bans. And since you can't change your Steam ID you basically need to buy a new Arma 2 OA. (Something like that)

3. You enable steam family sharing on BOTH accounts
4. You launch arma 2 oa from your banned key steam and it should keep the unbanned key

I still don't know how it all works, but it worked for me. If you don't know how to enable family sharing, google it

The only downside of this, is you get a new player id when using the steam patch servers, which means its a new character. This shouldn't bother you though.

Once again correct me if I am wrong, but this is what I did and it worked.

thanks dude fuck i guess this was just recent... damn i just bought a new $10 key

It was very recent, and to play again you need to make a new Steam account and if you haven't redeemed your Steam key yet you can redeem it there.
