Alright. I just recently downloaded crossfire and registered with Z8Games. I double-click icon, get to gamestart screen and press the button. then I get this.

try restart pc the gameguard is still running in your desktop background or check your firewall maybe blocking the gameguard
maybe you have to patch manually

Wrong section, but maybe reinstall the game + patches
